We had a wonderful day exploring Mount Vernon. We could not have asked for better weather. We didn’t spend much time in the museum, but we plan to go again another time to explore all that the museum has to offer. The grounds were beautiful. We especially liked the barn area. We loved our lunch at the Mount Vernon Inn.
This was my 3rd time touring Mount Vernon. There is always something new to see such as the sundial in front of the house the George Washington used. The museum part does such an amazing job showcasing his life from birth to death. Walk the grounds and see the farm life and unusual barn plus pay respects to him and Martha.
I don’t think the description of the tour was clear. I wasn’t aware my tour included transportation and a personal tour guide. I paid for my own transportation via Uber. Jared our tour guide met us at the event and from there on it was amazing. Jared was extremely kind, friendly, knowledgeable and went out of his way to make up for the mis-communication in our pick-up.
